If only Albuquerque had an ocean, a beach. If Poki Poki Cevicheria was a sand dune fish shack, there would always be a line out the door, bowls would run double the price, and the Land of Manana would totally adopt the greeting Aloha, holmes as their own. I say this for two reasons: I feel that this company truly serves up imaginative, sly renditions of this Hawaiian staple, with a nod to Mexican fare and a constantly evolving approach to healthy food that you cannot find in many places around the country, let alone Albuquerque. And in this venue, in particular, they've built something I'd expect to find in a resort town. The bar, straddling the southwest corner of a very trafficked Wyoming and Comanche, reconnected me with memories of a few Mai Tais I've sipped in the tropics. Come here on your Friday afternoon, leave the office early -- hey, you worked hard this week -- and reward your efforts to make the Duke City embrace the Shaka.
One of my favorite places to eat, always amazing and fresh food. Everything I have tried so far is delicious. Some of the best poke I had anywhere in the US.
Delicious. My friends brought me here and I was blown away by how awesome this place is. The bowls looked so good and fresh but I wasn’t that hungry so I had the fish tacos which were done so well. This place has a great open atmosphere and several local tap beers to go along with the delicious food. I can’t wait to come back.
Hands down, this spot serves some of the best street tacos I've ever devoured! They have Steak, Pork, Fish, & Chicken! I'd recommend trying all 4 your first visit, and then you will have a better idea of which one was your favorite for your second visit, and trust me, you'll be back. Poki Bowls are the other specialty here, with many options to build your own bowl. They have a great selection of Beer & other beverages, as well as a delicious dessert area that you'll surely find enticing. Great environment, Great service, you will be glad you decided to eat here!
